Guide to grants for other organisations...

The Society’s trustees have decided that although their principal charitable activity will remain the making of grants to individual women, in 2012 they intend again making funds available for grants to other organisations working for the benefit of women in financial need. Details of how to apply will be released in due course, so please keep an eye on this page.

 

In 2011 the following grants were agreed:

Action Foundation:  £5,000 towards the provision of accommodation and support for vulnerable female asylum seekers

bullet

DIAL Barnsley: £18,700 to fund a dedicated part time peer adviser to support female disabled clients

bullet

North Bristol Advice Centre: £18,940 for the provision of advice and assistance to older lone or disabled women

bullet

One25: £15,000 towards support for women trapped in street prostitution through poverty or addiction to break free

bullet

Pan Intercultural Arts: £3,940 for creative techniques to help trafficked women structure their new lives in the community

bullet

Saltbox: £5,000 to provide one-to-one debt advice and budgeting support for vulnerable women

bullet

Suffolk West (Haverhill) Citizens' Advice Bureau: £11,000 to fund a part-time dedicated women's caseworker

bullet

The Boaz Trust: £5,000 towards the provision of accommodation and support for vulnerable female asylum seekers
