The Society’s trustees
have decided that although their principal charitable activity will remain
the making of grants to individual women, in 2009 they will make £50,000
available for grants to other organisations. Applications will be
considered for funding towards projects which represent the complete work of a
small organisation, or a particular undertaking by a larger one.
Criteria
-
In order to meet the requirements of our
governing document, the Trustees will only consider applications for
support for projects which are for the exclusive benefit of women in
financial need. It cannot consider projects which also benefit
-
men
-
children
-
women who are not in financial need
-
The Trustees have decided to make grants
to other organisations based and operating in the UK in order to broaden the scope of their work. They
will not consider applications from other grant making organisations
-
Priority will be given to smaller
projects where it can be demonstrated that the Society’s grant will make
a real difference
Application procedure

applications at their meeting in April 2009. The closing date for
